STEER BY EXAMPLE

From how we make our products to how we live our lives, in all aspects of our brand, we want to make sure that we “steer” by example.

Being a brand that ‘gives back’ does not stop at making financial contributions to charities. We are dedicated to sustainability for the future of our planet. We are as transparent as possible so that you feel good about what you're buying and are confident that you are making a difference in each purchase with us.

From visiting our local recycle plant to ensure we are using the correct processes, to using 100% recycled, biodegradable, non-caustic, non-toxic products in our print shop (think chemicals, paper towels, gloves, etc), we extend our values in every aspect of The Admiral’s Daughters. Our Co-Founders are those annoying people who pick up what is put in the trash and move it to the recycle bin. Ask their friends and local Jacksonville business owners — no lids on to-go coffee, always paper bags at the grocery store, and if anyone dares enter their homes with a plastic bottle, they will not be let in…But seriously.

As a military family, we have seen first hand the sacrifices that are made to protect our great country. We believe in American-Made and ethically produced products and coming full circle to support and raise awareness for the same military communities that keep us safe. So much of our brand reflects the values and traditions that were instilled growing up in this type of tightly woven group that we feel compelled to share stories to promote love & kindness for these families regardless of political agenda.

INSIGHT TO PRODUCTION

  • Dye houses as well as sewing & production facilities use 7x less water than average for clothing manufacturers and reduce their co2 emissions through solar power, motion sensor lighting, recycling and W.R.A.P. certification

  • WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) is a globally recognized, independent 3rd party certifying body whose mission is to promote ethical, humane and lawful conditions and practices in all manufacturing facilities. Companies accepted into the WRAP organization go through an extensive application process in which manufacturing facilities, working environments, and worker's rights are inspected and approved by the WRAP association. WRAP certifications are awarded based upon both internationally and nationally accepted humane workplace standards, local laws, and ethical manufacturing regulations.

  • Our screen printing and embroidery is all done in Jacksonville, FL, with 80% of that done on-site at our headquarters

  • We use recycled packaging! If it looks like it's not the first time a box has been used, that's because it's not. We try to reuse any packaging we have from things being sent to us and our tissue paper is made from 100% recycled material—We encourage you to reuse and recycle once you receive your goodies from us.
